About this file

This document is a Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition. The Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 21 VA Palo Alto Heath Care System seeks to establish a sole source purchase order with Sofie Co. for the delivery of radiopharmaceutical supplies including FlouroDeoxyGlucose, Sodium Fluoride, and Neuraceq. The estimated contract value is $XXXXX for the base year plus one option year from February 2020 to February 2022. Sofie Co. is the only vendor capable of providing same-day delivery of the radioisotopes to meet the medical facility's calibration time requirements due to the short shelf life of the materials. A notice of intent to sole source was published on January 8, 2020 but no capable alternative vendors responded. The contracting officer has determined pricing to be fair and reasonable based on previous purchases.
