Text version
1. Is it permissible or expected for the Executive and Mid-level Sensei to be conducting classroom-oriented instruction in Lean methodologies to strengthen the organization’s knowledge of and ability to do Lean work? (While some education may be provided during coaching sessions, there is no requirement to provide classroom-oriented instruction)
2. Is it permissible to offer online training in Lean methodologies (to strengthen capabilities) to the participants if at no cost to VAPAHCS? (Yes)
3. Is it permissible for the Sensei to use vendor-supplied software applications to assist with data analysis, presentation preparation, reporting, and enterprise-level communications? (We would need to understand more about the vendor-supplied software applications to ensure there are no Office of Information Technology (OIT) or Information Security Officer (ISO) related concerns)
4. Is it permissible for the Sensei to conduct “tollgate sessions” where participants collectively meet to discuss progress and challenges in project work? (Yes)
5. Is it permissible for the vendor to have the 7 Executive participants to complete a behavior assessment tool and to participate in a workshop with vendor-supplied Sensei (as a group) to focus on behavioral characteristics of leadership (per the RFP: “The contractor will provide hands-on technical and behavioral training and mentoring to advance SIM.”) (Yes)
