About this file

This document outlines a federal contract opportunity for architectural and engineering services. The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking proposals to design and construct 18 long-term care beds and 12 hospice beds at the Grand Junction VA Medical Center in Colorado. Proposals are due by May 20, 2019. The contract will be set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. Evaluation criteria include specialized experience in healthcare design, professional qualifications of key personnel, capacity to complete the work on schedule, and past performance history. Firms will also be evaluated on their location, reputation, and any record of claims due to past work. Interviews will be scheduled with the most highly qualified respondents. The selected firm will provide design and construction documents to allow for accurate contractor estimates and manage the project using Microsoft Project. The estimated construction budget is between $2 million to $5 million.
