X The purpose of this amendment is to answer vendor questions and to extend the Solicitation after the site visit so potential Offerors shall have ample time to submit a good proposal and to provide updated site visit information and a Point of Contact. The new close date is 09-19-2018 @ 10 AM EST.

A. The purpose of Amendment 0001 is to answer Offeror questions and establish site visits.
B. The following questions and answers are for Solicitation Number 36C25918Q9799.
1. The Statement of Work section 2.4 states " All cleaning and disinfecting agents will be provided by the contract will be non-toxic, environmentally friendly products. MSDS will be provided to MS for the cleaning agents that will be used." So, the contractor is only responsible for cleaning equipment and trash bags? Please clarify what exactly the contractor is responsible for. Contractors are responsible for all equipment and supplies.
1. In the Statement of Work in section 2.1 section C it states, " Clean and disinfect all surfaces of all cubicles, computer servers, monitors, workstations and tables in the call center." Is the contractor supposed to clean servers and computer monitors? This type of equipment is usually done by a professional computer technician with specialized equipment and specialized cleaning chemicals for electronic equipment. Do you really want a janitor cleaning this type of equipment? Please clarify. Contractors will not be not clean servers or monitors. They can dust monitors but no more than that.
1. Are Dumpsters provided for trash and debris removal? Contractors will be allowed to use dumpsters.
1. Can you provide the square footage of tile flooring that requires stripping & waxing for both buildings? 10,000 in Topeka and 13,400 in Hot Springs.
1. Will secure storages areas be provided for equipment and cleaning supplies? Yes.
1. How late is the contractor allowed to work? Will be discussed at each location, most of these contracts only work so late at night due to the needs of their staff.
1. How many windows are in each building? 132 windows for both buildings in Hot springs (ground floor in building 3 is not part of the project)
1. Can you Clarify what you mean by Work will be performed in stages. Do you have a schedule available? No specific plan, it will be worked out with the contractor and the COR after contract signed. It will be something that each can agree on.
1. What is the size of each facility (sq. ft.)? Topeka 66,000SF,? 33,400 in Hot Springs
C. Site Visits
1. For potential Offeror’s who will participate in the walkthrough for the Hot Springs, SD location, we will meet at 10AM MST on 9-12-2018 at the VHA-Member Services National Call Center 500 N 5th Street, Hot Springs, SD 57747.
Any potential Offerors that arrive after 10:15 AM will not be included in the site visit due to the time it will take to go through the site visit.

2. For potential Offeror’s who will participate in the walkthrough for the Topeka, KS location, we will meet at 1PM CST on 9-12-2018 at the VA Medical Center in Topeka, KS, 3401 SW 21st street Building 9, Topeka KS 66604.
Any potential Offerors that arrive after 1:15 PM will not be included in the site visit due to the time it will take to go through the site visit.
