Q: Does the contractor need to assume providing sealed drawings to the VA by a Professional Engineer (PE) to perform this work?

A: Yes. Drawings were provided and uploaded with the solicitation within SAM.gov.

A: These are not chill water lines. The proper verbiage is hydronic lines. The top of themain line is preferred first option. If this cannot be accomplished due to existing structures, a side penetration will be submitted to the COR for approval.

Q: Who is the preferred DDC/ BAS Controls contractor?

A: Yes, all drains shall be of copper from the eighteen DOA Units. No drain is required for Pre Heat or Reheat coils. Humidifiers/dehumidifiers are required to be reworked in copper to allow unit to be raised.

Q: For units that do not currently have a drain line connected to auxiliary drain pan or where there is no route to adequately install a gravity drain, will a condensate pump suffice?

A: The units are to be raised so this should not be an issue. Existing conditions reflect adequate fall but any unforeseen condition shall be brought to the COR’s attention.
