1. What was the previously awarded Solicitation Number, Date awarded and awarded value?

Solicitation # 36C25719Q0726, awarded on 07-25-2019, $143,951.76.

2. Has any of the SOW changed from this Solicitation compared to that of the last awarded contract? If so, what changed or was added? No.

3. Has the government issued any CURE or Notice of Correction for pest control services over the past 24 months at this location? No.

4. Can the government clarify how many Emergency service requests have been made in the past 24 months at the following locations? (Section B, Item 4, Pages 8 and 9).

Per Service Chief, It is not an emergency if it is during business hours so; approximately 72 times or 3 incidents a month. We can utilize the “emergency fund” portion for anything outside of the 72.

5. How many bird service requests have occurred in the past 24 months at the following locations? (Section B, Item 6.1, Page 11)

10+ (ALM and KMC primary sites) Emergency funds can cover anything outside of the numbers.

6. Can the government clarify if the awarded contractor is responsible for purchasing, installing, or maintaining the spikes, netting, and bird slides? If so, what is the square footage or linear footage for the bird exclusion over the last 24 months? (Section B, Item 6.1, Page 11)

Yes they are responsible.

7. Can the government clarify if the awarded contractor is responsible for the purchasing and installing of Air Curtains? (Section B, Item 6.1, Page 11)

The contractor will not be responsible for this.

8. Can the government clarify the restrictions as outlined in the offerors submittal as these limitations will make it very difficult for a contractor to demonstrate technical qualifications and experience as all these subjects outlined in this complexity IPM Pest Management Statement of Work? (Section E.2, Item D, Page 41) - The maximum pages allowed for technical, VA prefers the 10-pages maximum, vendors can submit 15 pages, just ensure file is not greater than 10MB or split to ensure it comes through.

9. Are measurements of the areas needing services available?

Square Footage:

Audie (including CLC and SCIC) (approx. 1,060,307 sq. ft.)

PTRP (approx. 18,535 sq. ft.)

Kerrville (approx. 378,183 sq. ft.)

Villa Serena (approx. 28,039 sq. ft.)

Fisher House (approx. 13,006 sq. ft.)

Fisher House 2 (approx. ??,??? sq. ft.)

Fisher House 2 should be the same sq. footage as Fisher House – they are going to be identical.

10. Please define the difference between “Traps” as identified in paragraphs 4.1 and 4.5 of the Statement of Work (SOW) and “Vertebrae Traps” as identified in paragraphs 4.2, 4.3, and 4.4.

The government’s definition of these items is critical as the level of effort necessary to maintain these can be quite different if they are not the same. What is the difference between the term “Traps” and “Vertebrae Traps?”

The term “Traps” and “Vertebrae Traps” within the sections specified are interchangeable as they refer to a trap that is used to for the live capture and relocation of animals.

11. Is there any rodent trapping required at any of the facilities covered under this SOW?

Rodent is a broad term as it could encompass squirrels, mice, and rats to name a few. If rodents are identified either through the use of bait stations, rodent droppings, visual sightings, or other means at any of the locations under the SOW the issue would need resolved using such means as bait stations, snap traps, and other approved methods to either remove or exterminate.
