Technical Questions and Answers: 36C25723Q1003 AC Unit Replacement
1) Provide map with chase location in basement. Included
2) Provide map for roof location of condenser unit. Included
3) Provide existing roofing company and if they hold a warranty. Roof is not under warranty so disregard what was stated at walkthrough. A curbing base will need to be installed for condensing unit and warranty from roofing company used will need to be provided.
4) Provide staging area for boom lift of units to roof. Staging area for boom lift will be marked on included prints.
5) Provide map to show electrical panel location for work in basement and roof. AC line set and electrical for new condensers will run from mechanical space where new AC units are being installed.
6) Provide estimated distance of runs. Estimated run is 175 feet.
7) Provide revised SOW to reference units are split units. These are not split units they are air handler that will be placed in room and be tied into existing duct work. The condensers will be placed on the roof.
8) Provide revised SOW referencing the chase to be used to run two duct return & supply. The chase is indicated on the prints 163-B.
9) Provide size of chase. Estimated 3 feet by 6 feet
10) Is all existing duct staying? The existing ducting running outside of the room is for the temporary units and will be removed during install of the new units. New units will need to be connected to the return grilles and the supply ducts above them.
