No Questions Answer 1 Why is LYNX compatibility required when there is no alarm work in this RFI?

The system needs to be compatible with lynx so we have a one dispatch system that will give a clear view of what is occurring between the access control system, video system and LYNX.

2 Attachment D.3 – Site Layouts: Can the Department of VA provide identification of which site each layout refers to? It appears not all of them are labeled.

Attached are new site layouts with what is expected that the cameras will cover. See D.3 Camera Site Location V2 Attached

3 Is new Cat 6 or Cat 6A cabling required to support the cameras?

Yes. Majority of the cameras have been in use for over 8 years.

4 Are new PoE+ network switches required to support the camera system?

Yes, this will be a full system replacement.

5 Are all the camera locations being installed on a one-for-one basis or, are there new camera locations which do not currently have cameras?

Refer to question 2

6 Are all the access control locations being installed on a one-for-one basis or, are there new access-controlled locations which do not currently have infrastructure in place?

Yes.

7 Are we to assume all door hardware is in reusable condition such as the door strikes and door contacts?

Yes.

8 Are there existing cable pathways to outdoor cameras? Yes.

9 We could not locate where there was a site visit offered, a project of this size would normally provide contractors an opportunity to see the project sites to examine existing conditions.

Sire visits are Optional and can be arranged. 8/16/2022 for Harlingen and McAllen and 8/17/2022 for Corpus Christi and Laredo. Offerors are responsible for all expenses associated with a site visit. Any questions from the Site Visit will be provided in writing via email to the Contracting Officer. No questions shall be answered during the site visit.

Questions developed during the Site Visit shall be sent to the Contracting Officer NLT 08/18/2022. Offerors opting to conduct a site visit shall email

Kazimierz.Bochniak@va.gov and Francisco.Mendoza@va.gov for Site Visit coordination.

10 Would the government be willing to extend the submission due date by 1-week?

Due date has been extended.
