Questions/Response RFQ 36C257-19-Q-0470 Question: A TJC AR review and a LTCI review are two different reviews. Please clarify. Is only TJC AR review required? If both are desired, how do you want us to provide pricing? CLIN 001 only includes TJC not LTCI.
Answer: The requirement is to accomplish both TJC AR reviews and LTCI reviews. Please list pricing for TJC AR and LTCI separately.
Question: Some facilities are so large that more than 5 days may be needed for a complete mock survey. Do you want us to add the needed days to the proposal? Or do you prefer we limit services to what can be accomplished in qty 5 days max?
Answer: The mock survey requirement is for an average of five days per health care system. It is not the Governments intent to specify too much on how the contractor accomplishes the task. Provide what services (in your opinion) can be accomplished within 5 days, as well as what additional services and days would be necessary for a complete mock survey.
Question: Will this contract allow invoicing for each facility or only at the completion of readiness assessment for all facilities?
Answer: One invoice paid in arrears.
Question: Confirm only 35 days allowed for this whole solicitation 7 facilities?
Answer: Confirmed Question: In one section of this solicitation, it directs that the survey readiness assessments will be provided to ALL facilities in the VISN 17. In another section, it specifies that the assessments will be conducted at the VA hospitals.
However, each hospital facility has several additional outpatient locations listed under its Joint Commission Quality Check report. Amarillo has 3 locations in addition to the hospital. Abilene has 6 additional, Dallas has 13 additional, San Antonio has 12 additional, Temple area has 9 additional, Corpus Christi has 7 additional, and El Paso has three additional.) The Joint Commission’s survey process views those types of outpatient locations that are listed in the Quality Check report as part of the hospital itself and included in any survey.
So, for this solicitation, are those outpatient centers listed under each hospital’s Joint Commission Quality Check report to be included in the survey as this has an impact on time availability and scheduling?
Answer:
Amarillo – Amarillo VAMC, Lubbock Outpatient Clinic (required);
West Texas (Big Spring) – Big Spring VAMC, Abilene CBOC, San Angelo CBOC, Permian Basin CBOC VA North Texas (Dallas) – Dallas VAMC, Bonham VAMC, Fort Worth Outpatient Clinic (required); Plano CBOC, Grand Prairie CBOC, Denton CBOC, Polk St. CBOC and Tyler CBOC (time permitting) South Texas (San Antonio) – San Antonio VAMC, Kerrville VAMC, Frank Tejeda Outpatient Clinic (required);
Central Texas (Temple) – Temple VAMC, Waco VAMC, Austin Outpatient Clinic, Cedar Park CBOC (required); College Station CBOC, Palestine CBOC, Brownwood CBOC, and La Grange CBOC (time permitting) VA Valley Coastal Bend (Harlingen) – Health Care Center (HCC) @ Harlingen, McAllen Outpatient Clinic, Corpus Christi Outpatient Clinic (required); Laredo Outpatient Clinic, and Harlingen Outpatient Clinic (time permitting) El Paso – EL Paso VAMC, Las Cruces CBOC, Eastside CBOC (required); Sleep Center (time permitting)
