Tabletop Centrifuge Statement of Work
1. Background: Houston CBOCs (12) each require a Silencer Tank (part numbers 2200-302 and 2200-303) back-up centrifuge or equivalent. In addition, these centrifuges will be used in emergencies when the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) is activated.
2. Scope: The new centrifuges will only need to be delivered. No installation is required.
3. Specifications: The minimum needs of this assignment are to deliver the following equipment to the Houston VA which will then inspect and ship to each CBOC unopened.
Each Brushless Centrifuge must include the following pieces of equipment:
• Table-top with enclosed rotor chamber
• Direct Drive 1 HP Brushless Motor (2/3 HP on S2410 Series)
• Tube (blood sample) Holders 26 pl, 5ml/7ml, 2 pk
• Tube (blood sample) Holders 18 pl, 10 ml, 2 Pk
• Dual safety interlock system to ensure the lid is closed and locked
• Timer ranges from 1-59 seconds
• Simultaneous Digital RPM and RCF Display
4. Delivery: Equipment needs to be delivered to the Houston VA between the hours of
8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. The items shall be boxed in industry standard material and shipped without damage. The warehouse team will review the items to ensure they are free of defect or damage. Items shall be shipped to the Michael E.
DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) located at 2002 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, Texas, 77030.
5. Timeframe: Items should be delivered to MEDVAMC within 90 days of the order being placed.
6. Warranty: Technical support, one year warranty on labor, five years on the motor, and two years on all other parts
