This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY This SOURCE SOUGHT NOTICE is for the purpose of Market Research. Response to this notice will be used for information and planning purposes. No proposals or quotes are being requested or accepted with this notice. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS or QUOTES and NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. This notice shall NOT be construed as solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Responses to this notice is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.

The Network Contracting Office (NCO) 16 is seeking preferably Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Small Businesses (but will accept other than small business for market research purposes), capable of providing Parts and repair of the well chlorination system located at the Biloxi VA Medical Center.

The NAICS code is 811310, Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance and the Size Standard is $8.0 million. Responses must be received by no later than 8:00 1.m. Central Time, Monday, November 7, 2022. Responses shall be emailed to tina.harris3@va.gov Response shall contain Capabilities Statements to include Unique Entity Identification (UEI) number, and any qualifying certifications that may be required. Facsimile or Telephonic responses will not be accepted.

WATER WELL 16 REHAB & CHLORINATION SYSTEM REPAIRS

VA GULF COAST VETERANS HEALTH CARE SYSTEM

SCOPE OF WORK

Furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to perform all work associated with certain repairs, parts replacements on the chlorination system of well number 16, Bldg. 37, VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, Biloxi, Mississippi.

Chlorination System Repairs:

· The following scope of work includes the replacement and service install by qualified water well technicians for certain parts associated with the chlorination system for well 16 and other necessary repairs:

· (4) DENORA 200 SERIES VACUUM REGULATOR, SINGLE USE, 100 PPD – (38000001 A1 B1 CY2 EA7 F02 G01)

· (1) 200 SERIES REMOTE METER 6 INCH TUBE

· (1) AUTOMATIC SWITCHOVER MODULE 250PPD/5KG CL2 (47001803)

· (1) PM KIT 500PPD (10KGH) MAX, EJ, SO2, HI BP (REPLACES PART # 14431-2 & 14432-2) (47001176)

· (1) EJECTOR TOP BODY – (45041760)

· (1) TUBING CONNECTOR ¼ x ½ (45037159)

· (1) SEAL KIT FOR CHLORAMATIC VALVE – (47001636)

Installation Time

1. All work shall be completed within 30 calendar days after “Notice to Proceed”.

1. All work shall be coordinated with the and scheduled with the building tenants and project manager (COR).

SPECIAL BID CONSIDERATIONS BY THE CONTRACTOR:

All disposal costs and fees for debris removal will be the contractor’s responsibility. The contractor will be responsible for cleanliness of the building area both interior and exterior.

SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS:

Contractor’s workmen shall provide and utilize all safety requirements in accordance with OSHA regulations in the completion of the scope of work. Contractor shall provide and utilize scaffolding and ladders in accordance with all OSHA regulations.

FIRE PROTECTION DURING CONSTRUCTION:

a.Coordinate with the facility prior to and concurrent with design.
b.Fire protection during construction shall comply with VA Master Construction Specification (VAMCS) 01 00 00, General Requirements. (Note: VAMCS 01 00 00, General Requirements, addresses NFPA 241, Joint Commission Interim Life Safety Measures, Hot Work Permits, etc.)

NOTE: Contractor shall submit samples of all new proposed materials for approval with manufacturer’s literature. No materials shall be procured or installed prior to sample approval. Submittals, including maintenance manuals, shall be provided for all new equipment.

All work is to be performed during normal business hours Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, exclusive of Federal holidays unless coordinated with the facility tenants and the project manager.

Site shall be kept clean and free from debris at all times and contractor shall remove debris daily from the health care system property. Contractor will not be allowed to use Government tools, materials, and/or labor for this project.
