** Are there currently incumbents on the contract? Yes.
** If there are current incumbents, how many spots are you looking to fill? 1 Nighttime Hospitalist on duty every night.
** Based on the set up of hours, will the candidates be working 7 days on and 7 days off? Yes 7 on 7 off 7p-7a ** Or, will the three proposed candidates being splitting shifts per week, in order to support having a single provider on site at all time from 7pm to 0700, 7 days per week, including holidays? The three will split the hours based on scheduling and availability ** For the past performance requested, are we looking for the past performance to only cover Veterans Affairs Facilities? No. All past performance relevant to this requirement is reviewable.
** To confirm, if we are submitting 10-99 employees are we still required to supply worker’s comp, Social Security, tax withholding, and general liability or are we allowed to simply submit a copy of our Medical Malpractice insurance for acceptance? No. The organization must submit their insurance information.
**Is there an incumbent performing these services? Yes. If so, what is the contract award #? VA256-17-C-0130 **If incumbent providers, are they given "first right of refusal" to new awardee? No. Any Resident supervision required? If so, how many residents per shift? At this time no Residents rotate through the night shift.
**What clinical support is available on each Nocturnist shift? i.e. RN's, NP's or PA's, emergency services, lab, etc... RN’s on the floors and 24/7 Emergency Room on site, specialists available on call, and 24/7 Respiratory Therapy
**How many VA Staff Nocturnists are there? 1 Nocturnist per night
**Is funding appropriated to this contract opportunity already? (Non-funded contracts are a deterrent in current Federal environment.) Page 5, Section A.3 indicates it is not currently funded. **Funds are currently available through 30 September 2019 **Page 5, Section A.3 item #2 Term of Contract indicates effective date through 30 September 2018. Please change to effective date through 30 September 2019. Dates Corrected **Are you looking for a local Hospitalist group or will you consider Locum Tenens candidates? Locum tenen candidates (we have never used a local Hospitalist group) **Normally, Hospitalist/Nocturnist are not paid a separate Overtime rate or Holiday pay rate. Can we modify the pricing CLINS to remove these pricing fields if we do not offer these pay options? The CLINS will remain—if your organization doesn’t pay a separate rate please list your standard rate for the Holiday and Overtime CLINS.
**Is this the same contract that was awarded to Ansible back in October? No.
**Is there an incumbent provider(s) on assignment? Yes
** How many beds are in the in-patient unit? 41 med surg beds and 15 on Psych ward
**Will the contract hospitalist be on duty alone, or will there be another hospitalist on duty as well? If on duty alone, are there residents and/or other support staff to assist? On duty alone, 24/7 Emergency Dept, Specialists on Call at night, RRT’s working 24/7
