About this file

This document is an Amendment to Solicitation for Dental Instruments issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office for the Robert J. Dole Veterans Health Administration in Wichita, Kansas. The solicitation (36C25525Q0457) seeks to procure specific dental instruments from Hu-Friedy or equivalent manufacturers, including explorers, probes, and scalers, with a total quantity of 775 instruments across 10 line items. Key requirements include instruments manufactured with high-grade stainless steel, compatible with sterilization processes, capable of repeated sterilization cycles, and able to maintain sharp cutting edges.

The amendment extends the offer submission deadline to July 16, 2025, at 12:00 PM CDT and provides detailed technical specifications for the dental instruments. Contractors must submit equipment brochures for any proposed equivalent products, ensure compatibility with existing equipment, and include standard industry warranty. Delivery is set for 60 days after order receipt to the Wichita VA Medical Center. The solicitation is a one-time quote for dental instruments, with specific requirements for instrument characteristics such as high-corrosion resistance, medical-grade quality, and the ability to withstand repeated sterilization cycles at temperatures up to 270 degrees Fahrenheit.
