GRAY MARKET LANGUAGE
The Vendor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealer, authorized distributor, or authorized reseller for the proposed equipment/system such that the OEM warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. All warranty and service associated with the equipment/system shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions. The vendor shall provide new items ONLY; no remanufactured or "gray market" items. All items must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

1. INTRODUCTION
This solicitation is to provide the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center, Surgery Department with one (1) Ophthalmic Surgical Microscope for the performance of cataract surgeries.
2. BACKGROUND
The Robert J Dole Surgery Department is requesting to purchase an Ophthalmic Surgical Microscope.
3. SCOPE OF WORK
The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and non-personal services necessary to provide an Ophthalmic Surgical Microscope
4. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
A. Salient Features for Ophthalmic Surgical Microscope:
· CoAx 4 Illumination for the main surgeon, assistant and camera, with electronically adjustable Red Reflex field of illumination via footswitch
· Quad zoom equipped with Fusion Optics for high resolution sharp image with high Depth of Field, providing Constant Red Reflex and texture view
· Direct Illumination with 2xLED lamps for more energy efficiency and low light intensity without fiber optics
· Same color temperature, light intensity and homogeneity during the complete life cycle of the microscope
· Efficient workflow supported by many automatic and semiautomatic programmable functions
· Flexible integrated platform for integration of multiple technologies as Toric guidance, iOCT
· Integrated keratoscope to qualitatively evaluate the corneal curvature of the astigmatism intraoperatively
· Integrated slit illumination with adjustable slit width 1.0 mm ... 6.0 mm with continuous slit width adaption via wireless footswitch
· Integrated full HD 3 CMOS camera system (HDC300) with manual focus available in standard configuration (IVC module)
· Equipped with surgeon panel (surgeon display for visualization of current settings during surgery with touch function)
· Motorized and individually programmable tilt function especially for glaucoma applications
