Questions & Answers/Clarifications
1) Q: Is there a site visit planned?
A: A site visit is not planned.
2) Q: In D.1 are the 360 Degree Dome Cameras single sensor fisheye cameras or multisensor cameras? Also, what is the minimum resolution or part number for the basis of design?
A: Multisensor Camera, The camera has to be able to use Avigilon appearance search support technology, 20C-H4A-4MH-360 Is the part number or similar.
3) Q: In D.1 what is the minimum resolution of the indoor dome camera or part number for the basis of design?
A: The camera has to be able to use Avigilon appearance search support technology, 5.0C-H5A-DO2 Is the part number or similar.
4) Q: In D.2 what is the minimum resolution of the outdoor dome camera or part number for the basis of design? Also, do these require IR?
A: The camera has to be able to use Avigilon appearance search support technology, 6.0C-H5A-DO1-IR is the part number or similar.
5) Q: In D.3 what is the minimum resolution of the dome camera or part number for the basis of design?
A: The camera has to be able to use Avigilon appearance search support technology, 5.0C-H5A-DO2 Is the part number or similar.
6) Q: In D.3 what is the minimum resolution of the 180-degree dome camera or the part number of the basis of design?
A: Multisensor camera, the camera has to be able to use Avigilon appearance search support technology, 20C-H4A-4MH-360 is the part number or similar. Although this one is a 360-degree camera it can be configured as a 180 when setup correctly.
7) Q: Are diagrams/drawings available for the locations where equipment is going to be installed?
A: Diagrams are available upon award; however, they were not updated during the past installations.
8) Q: Is new wiring required for all new Avigilon cameras? What is the distance and pathway back to the head end? Is the cabling requirement Cat6A?
A: Yes, wiring is required. Approximately 200 feet is needed per camera. Cable is Cat 6.
9) Q: Are camera licenses required or does the VA have licenses available?
A: Yes, camera licenses are required.
10) Q: Are switches required or will customer provide them?
A: We have some existing switches in the closets that could be used but switches will most likely be required.
11) Q: Is there an existing Value-Added Reseller agreement for the Lenel system? If so, who is the VAR?
A: No agreement for Lenel as far as I know, We have been using Tech Electronics to do the install and fixing of the system.
12) Q: For CLIN 009, "repair PACs readers", qty 3, can you advise what the current model reader is and what the problems with them are?
A: We currently have a variety of card readers but will need a PIVClass Card reader that can operate on both Lenel and Avigilon platforms. Currently the scan and unlock function appear to not be working.
13) Q: Is the VA able to determine if the existing Lenel OnGuard system has an active software support agreement? Is the VA able to provide the Dongle ID/System Serial Number so we can verify if the system is currently supported?
A: No, the VA does not have an active support agreement with Lenel. I do not know how to provide the system serial number nor where to find it.
14) Q: Are floor plans available for our review so we can determine accurate cabling distances for all new device locations?
A: Please see Question #7.
15) Q: Are the Lenel and Avigilon systems currently on the VA network, or on a standalone network?
A: Standalone network for Avigilon. VA network for Lenel.
16) Q: Who will be responsible for providing any network switches to make the final connections?
A: Contractor will be responsible for the network switches if needed
17) Q: Is conduit required for any device cabling, or are we permitted to run the cabling in existing pathways?
A: Can run cabling in existing pathways
18) Q: In section A of the Statement of Work, motion detectors are specified. Will the contractor be responsible for providing input/output modules to connect these devices to the Lenel system, or are there existing modules in place?
A: Contractor will be responsible for providing input/output devices.
19) Q: In section B of the Statement of Work, new reader locations are included. Will the contractor be responsible for a turnkey installation, to include new locking hardware? Or, are these doors currently utilizing door strikes that we can re-use? Will new Lenel control panels be required for these locations or are we able to utilize existing reader boards?
A: Yes, for the first question about being turnkey, if the doorway already has strike it will be functional after install of the new card reader. Can use existing panels unless needed to install new ones.
20) Q: In section C of the Statement of Work, duress buttons are specified. Will the contractor be responsible for providing input/output modules to connect these devices to the Lenel system, or are there existing modules in place?
A: Please see question #18.
21) Q: For the new cameras stated in section D of the statement of work, will the contractor be required to add additional recording units to the system?
A: No, our camera system has enough recorders to handle the additional camera request.
22) Q: What version of Avigilon ACC software is currently use – ACC5, ACC6, or ACC7?
A: ACC7
23) Q: What type of Avigilon software is currently in use – Core, Standard, or Enterprise?
A: It is Enterprise software.
24) Q: In section E of the statement of work, the specification calls out defective readers. Is this just a reader replacement, or is there something else wrong with the system/doors?
A: It could be both a defective reader and door, you can assess once on site-most likely it is the card reader only.
25) Q: Is there going to be a site visit offered to prospective contractors?
A: Please see question #1.
26) Q: Would the government consider an extension of 7-10 days?
A: We do not feel an extension is necessary.
27) Q: Does the customer require FIPS 201 compliant equipment for the deployment?
A: Yes, FIPS 201 is needed per guidelines.
28) Q: Do you have recommended part #s for the CLIN items requested?
