The Great Lakes Acquisition Center serving the entire VISN 12 area, is performing market research. This Sources Sought is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors, including Small Businesses, Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned-Small Business (SDVOSB) vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS code) 334290 (Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing).
The Illiana VA Medical Center in Danville, Illinois has a need to upgrade the existing Security System. The existing security system was installed by Barcom Electronic, Inc., in 2019 and any work done on this security system must be authorized by Barcom Electronic, Inc. There is a proprietary existing service warranty currently in place regarding this security system that requires only Barcom Electronic, Inc., personnel and any authorized distributors of Barcom Electronic to work on this security system. This upgrade is needed at this VA site to become complaint with security requirements.

10. If an authorized distributor, a memo or correspondence which authorizes distributor to distribute and install the manufacturer’s products with a full warranty.
11. If an authorized distributor of Barcom Electronic, Inc., a statement explaining the added value provided with this purchase.
12. Reference the product, facility, and sources sought number on all correspondence regarding this announcement.
TELEPHONIC INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your response will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to the notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender.
The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334290 and the small business standard is 750 employees. Responses due are to be submitted by email to Shari Lee at Shari.Lee@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 2:00 PM Central Standard Time by Wednesday, June 03, 2020.
