AMENDMENT TO ANSWER QUESTIONS
SEE B
ELOW
JESSICA RASMUSSEN
Question 1: What is the approximate length/width/height of the currently installed corridor?
Answer 1: The VA will be responsible for the construction and removal of extension of the covered corridor from the VAIHCS to the Mobile unit that creates a weather-tight connection to the Mobile unit.
Question 2: Can the new corridor be made of metal?
Answer 2: The VA will determine the appropriate corridor material.
Question 3: How far is the building from the unit?
Answer 3: VA will construct extension.
Question 4: Are techs required? Training is mentioned in the rfq Answer 4: No, The VA will be responsible for the hiring of the technicians. The vendor is responsible for training the techs on the operation of the MRI.
Question 5: What type of MRI safe wheel chair would you like for us to provide? There are many different specs on wheel chairs ranging from 18-26 inches and different holding weight capacities. To ensure we are providing you with the best equipment for the VA we would need to know this.
Answer 5: The majority of our patients are Male, Older, and Larger. The larger wheelchair would be preferable as long as it fits through all the doors on the MRI trailer.
Question 6: The MRI safe transfer table: Are you needing a gurney I am assuming? I want to make sure the VA isn’t in need of a gurney and the transfer table.
Answer 6: The Furno Model 30-NM is all we need for transport and transfer if necessary. If there is a sturdier Model, with a higher weight limit, we would not be opposed.
Question 7: Does the 6550 & 6550.6 have to be filled out and submitted as part of the bid or post award? Does the BAA have to be filled out as and submitted with the bid?
Answer 7: The completed 6550 and BAA must be submitted with the quote. In the event the contractor has an executed national level BAA a copy of this executed document is sufficient. The contractor should complete as many sections of the 6550 with regard to the proposed equipment. Contractors will not be excluded from consideration due to inadvertent errors/confusion on the 6550 but should make every attempt to complete as much as possible.
Question 8: Who is the current incumbent at the VA?
Answer 8: Salvadorini Question 9: What equipment is currently being provided?
Answer 9: Magnetom Symphony
Question 10: What is the make and model of the PACS system?
Answer 10: IntelliSpace Enterprise 4.4 Question 11: I want to confirm that the patient transfer table is actually an ambulance stretcher (MRI compatible)?
Answer 11: The patient transfer table is currently a nonferrous ambulance type stretcher (FERNO, Model 30-NM / MR Conditional at 3 Tesla or less)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Successful contractor will be required to provide a site guide to the facility for planning purposes. This will include electrical requirements, etc. A “site guide’ would only be required from the vendor chosen to fulfill the contract. A “site guide” is everything the vendor will need from the VA – Electrical requirements connection support, type of Pad Requirements (Where the MRI will be setup), and data requirements … and anything else they may require.
