SUMMARY OF CHANGES -

FROM:

Salient Characteristics (Hobart FT1000 ER Flight-Type or EQUAL):

Flight-type dish machine shall include the following:

· Left-to-right operation, matching the existing process flow

· Rise-up (guillotine-style), insulated doors on all sections—not to exceed current ceiling height (ceiling height listed below)

· Dual rinse

· Microprocessors controls with cleaning and de-liming settings/alerts

· Electrical Power: 208-240 volts/60 hertz/3 phase

· Sliding wash arms without caps

· Standard conveyor with adjustable speed

· Steam coils

· Steam booster

· Blower dryer

· Energy Recovery System

· Energy Star rating

· Externally-mounted scrap basket

· Ability to clean up to 18” x 26” pots and pans

· Conveyor shutoff mechanism at unload end

· Total length of load, center and unload section not to exceed maximum install length (listed below)

· Load platform/length 2.5 feet minimum

· Unload platform/length 7.5 feet minimum

· Exhaust ductwork must connect/fit within existing ceiling in dish machine room.

· 1-year standard warranty (parts, labor, and travel time)

· Extended 1-year warranty (parts and labor, non-emergencies)

· Additional features:

· Manual start, microprocessor controlled internal cleaning process

· Manual start, microprocessor controlled internal de-lime process

· Load-end soil removal system that removes food soil by water jets

Vendor Scope of Work:

· Vendor will disconnect, remove complete and dispose of existing dish machine.

· Vendor will receive, uncrate and deliver to Jesse Brown VAMC, Chicago IL.

· The Vendor shall coordinate with the VA’s Site Prep Contractor. The VA’s Site Prep Contractor’s work will be provided by the VA and shall include infection control barrier and repairs to the floor.

· Vendor will set in place and assemble new machine.

· Vendor will make final utility connections to new machine from within 5 ft. of customer-provided proper sized utilities with shutoffs and disconnects (water supplies, steam, condensate, drain and vent connection).

· Vendor will fabricate and install vent work from top of new machine to existing vent work above finished ceiling. Vendor to include the supply and installation of an adapter plenum in installation cost.

· Vendor will start up and test new dishwasher for proper operation.

· Vendor will provide operator training provided at completion of installation on same day.

Dishwasher Dimensions:

· Maximum installed length: 24’–6” overall including entry and exit overhangs and all options

· Maximum installed height: 6’–10 ½” overall for the machine proper

· Maximum installed width: 3’–9” overall including control panel

· Ceiling Height at Exhaust: 8’–2 ½”

Installation Notes:

· Existing dishwasher will be removed and then the facility will be re-grouting and sealing the flooring prior to new dishwasher install. This process should last approximately one (1) week.

· Machine is to be delivered in sections sized to fit through a 42” wide X 84” tall opening

· Machine is to be delivered in sections sized to fit into JBVA’s existing freight elevators

· 86” depth

· 53” door opening width

· Building Exhaust Duct is approximately 20” X 20”
