Special Notice
NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE
ProCuity Hospital Beds
The Department of Veterans Affairs Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center (CLE VAMC), 10701 East Blvd., Cleveland, OH 44106 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i) - Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The NAICS code is 339113 with a small business size standard of 750 employees. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with one of the authorized distributors of Stryker, 30100 Telegraph Road, Suite 366, Bingham Farms, MI 448025 for ProCuity Hospital Beds.
Stryker is uniquely qualified to provide the ProCuity Hospital Beds. 1. IsoTour surface technology, designed to provide continuous low-air-loss and rotational therapy, helping reduce the risk of pressure injuries and improving patient comfort for long-term or ICU use. 2. Ergonomic design, with the bed frame and controls optimized for both patient mobility and caregiver efficiency, reducing strain during repositioning or treatment. 3. Smart bed features, including integrated sensors and alerts that monitor patient position, weight, and movement to support safety and clinical decision-making. 4. Customizable for multiple care settings, suitable for MedSurg, step-down units, and ICU, with adjustable height, Trendelenburg/reverse Trendelenburg positions, and side rails for safety.
Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Friday, August 22, 2025 at 5PM EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
