NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE
Crash Cart
The Department of Veterans Affairs Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center (CLE VAMC), 10701 East Blvd., Cleveland, OH 44106 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i) - Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The NAICS code is 339112 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with InterMetro Industries Corporation, 651 North Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705, or one of their authorized distributors for crash carts.
VA CLE is soliciting for a vendor to furnish qty. and seventy-five (75) fully assembled crash carts with essential medical accessories, including suction pump shelf, IV pole and mount, drawer dividers, backboard, and locking mechanisms. Availability and use of this mobile emergency response units is required to store and transport critical medical supplies and medications used in life-saving interventions during medical emergencies, such as cardiac arrest. The carts will be deployed across the main hospital facility and outlying buildings to ensure rapid access to emergency equipment, enhancing the facility’s ability to provide timely and effective patient care in critical situations.

Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 5PM EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
