1. Q. Can you provide a quantity and type of each device to be tested? Such as pull station, smoke detectors, etc A. Yes, see attachment 1
1. Q. Can you provide a bid due date extension?
A. Yes, See SF30
1. Q. If there are current fire alarm system troubles, supervisories or issue please provide that listing of each item.
A. There are only a few and they are due to construction.
1. Is this to be a full maintenance contract?
A. Yes, this will be a full maintenance contract.
1. How will fire alarm service calls be paid?
A. Monthly in arrears
1. How will items found broken or inop during inspections be handled?
A. They will be documented during the inspection. They can be repaired during the inspection, but the results will still indicate a failure but then repaired.
1. Can you provide copies of the most current reports?
A. Yes, see attachment 1
1. What areas need to be tested after hours?
A. All testing will be during normal business hours unless there is a special circumstance.
1. Will the VA coordinate with VA elevator contract for testing of elevator recall/shunt trip? If not, can VA provide contact information for VA Elevator contractor?
A. The VA will provide an Otis contact the Vendor will be responsible for any costs and coordinating the effort.
1. Can you please confirm testing/frequency should be in accordance with VHA/TJC Latest Memorandum on Fire Protection system inspections?
A. That is correct. The VA’s requirements supersede the states requirements. We are expected to stay compliant with the latest code requirement.
1. How many dialers are there to be tested?
A. There are two (2), one (1) at the Vet House and One (1) at the Main Campus.
1. How many partitions are setup for monitoring?
A. Not sure what the question is asking. We have two locations that report to General Monitoring. One at the Vet House and One at the main campus.
