SUPPLY LIGATURE RESISTANT SLIDING DOOR SYSTEMS

I. SCOPE OF WORK:

The Contractor shall supply complete Ligature Resistant Sliding Door Systems (LR-SDS) to the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System (VAAAHS), 2515 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105.

The contractor will supply fifteen (15) completely functioning Accurate Lock and Hardware LR-SDS door systems (brand-name or equal) and solid wood core doors prepared to work with the sliding door systems.

The fifteen (15) door systems will each consist of the following:

1. One (1) Accurate Lock and Hardware Model LR-SDS-9503ST-i.US32D.134.WOOD.50.SMOKESEAL/FF (brand-name or equal).

2. One (1) 1-3/4” thick wood door leaf, SCLC-SM 5 Ply FSC structural composite lumber core, stile and rails bonded to core fiber glass reinforced laminate .075, measuring seven feet zero inches high (7’0” H) and four feet two inches wide (4’2” W) having preparation for Mortise Lock with Vertical Rod and No Hinges. Door preparation shall be in strict accordance with the template provided by Accurate Lock and Hardware (or other equivalent hardware) and the doors shall be compatible with the LR-SDS specified in line No.1 to create a fully functioning system. The door shall have an a smooth, cleanable, impact resistant finish similar in appearance and function to Pionite Wanderer door protective coating (see Door Sample Color document).

All proposed materials shall be submitted to the contracting officer representative (COR) for review and approval prior to acquisition. The COR reserves the right to refuse approval of an equivalent material based on any perceived performance inferiority, material quality inferiority, functional inferiority, or warranty inferiority.

II. DELIVERY:

All materials procured under this contract shall be delivered not greater than 90 days after the date of award. Installation is NOT required.

III. CONFORMANCE STANDARDS:

All materials provided under this contract must be in strict conformance with the Federal regulations and VAAAHS policies and requirements.

IV. WARRANTY:

All delivered materials shall be in new condition and free of defects. All defects in materials will be resolved by the contractor through a one (1) year product warranty period. Any manufacturer’s warranty shall be extended to the VAAAHS as a pass through warranty.
