Questions & Answers
1. What are the hours of operation?
a. 10:30pm to 7:00am (must be done and ready to leave by 7:00am, building opens at
7:00am.
2. Concerning the work in the Nutritionist area?
a. Nutritionist area (3a181 to 3a188 don't do) to many file cabinets to move southside.
3. Moving equipment/furniture around
a. VA will provide flat beds to assist to move the contractor’s equipment, flat beds are to be returned by 6:45am in location provided. Weight Scales are to be unplugged, moved and plugged in. Several lifts (patient lifts) that will have to be moved.
4. Restrooms Receptionist areas?
a. No restrooms or receptionist areas are to be cleaned.
5. Concerning Geriatrics?
a. Don’t do north side (3a411)
6. Concerning Optometer area?
a. Don’t do (2A560a)
7. Concerning amount of Wax to be used?
a. Three coats of wax shall be used.
8. Concerning Kiosk?
a. No are to be unplugged throughout facility.
9. Damaged flooring reporting?
a. If/When damaged flooring is found damaged the COTR is to be notified, via email, of the extent and location within 24 hours.
10. Why does the government require a list of equipment that is to be stored on-site (if any)?
a. The reason for this is that their equipment and the governments equipment will be located in the same area. A government official will be available to unlock that area as needed.
11. Concerning construction areas where there are no baseboards?
a. When baseboards aren't covering some areas of the bottom of the wall, a 1 tile clearance is needed to not wet the dry wall.
12. Concerning run-off from work being performed?
a. If run off gets under doors that are locked, the contractor is to notify a government official to unlock the area for clean-up. The contractor should keep a list of doors in the area being worked so the government can check them.
13. Concerning the government providing the wax and stripper required?
a. The government would not like to provide the stripper and wax required. The ones to be used are Betco products, Hard as Nails & Ax-It.
14. Will the government be providing a set of floor plans?
a. Yes. Please see attachment to this amendment for the floor plans.
15. Concerning the time for each job.
a. The government has extended to the time for each facility cleaning from one month to
45 days. This will allow for additional prep time.
