Lakeland Acrylic Artwork Question and Answers

1. Do you have a specific frame required? Floating or gallery color of frame?

No Frames are required for the acrylic. Standoffs are required for installing the acrylic.

2. Do you need these to be hand-painted vs cheaper digital art?

Digital Photographs with military/ patriotic images are required.

3. For CLIN 0004, what is an acrylic ribbon? Can you forward examples?

Please carefully review the solicitation the example ribbon is located on page 148.

4. For the artwork, do you want prints of photographs (like the examples shown) or prints of artwork?

Yes, the images are suggested images. If it the photograph you will be supplying is not an exact match, it should be very similar.

5. Would the contract be open to original paints in lieu of prints if the pricing was comparable?

Digital Photographs with military/ patriotic images are required.

6. Should the expenses for the kickoff meeting (travel) be included in the pricing?

Negative the kick-off meeting is not a mandatory in person event and can take place via teams.

7. This being an FFP contract, is there an estimated budget?

That information cannot and will never be disclosed during a government solicitation.

8. Will contracts accept a ROM proposal, with a firm proposal submitted after finalist selection?

No, your proposal should reflect the final price once awarded there will not be any additional funds disbursed.

9. We have also noticed that on page 146, it lists a quantity of 41, but the location numbers only specify 29 pieces (that is, including the triptych as three separate pieces). On the floor plans, only 29 locations are identified, and some of those are not listed on the specs of page 146. Can you clarify that for us?

29 Pieces is correct.

Front of the clinic first floor 1– 14 = Qty 14 locations Back of the Clinic First Floor A1-A26 = Qty 26 locations Front of the Clinic Second Floor 15-29 = Quantity 15 locations (one of these is the ribbons, CLIN 15 which consists of a set of 23 pieces and one of these is the Triptych which consists of 3 pieces) Back of the Clinic Second Floor B1-B26 = Quantity 26 locations

10. Does the Lakeland, FL CBOC have VA or General contracting personnel to accept deliveries via common carrier truck? Yes and page 6 states Coordinate specific (location) delivery date and time with the Contracting Officer and VA Interior Designer. The POC will be provided once contract is awarded.

No. There is a loading dock at the CBOC that can accept semi-trucks, but the location is not staffed to receive deliveries. The selected vendor will need to have someone onsite to receive deliveries if they are being shipped directly to the jobsite. There is a small storage area at the dock where artwork can be unpacked and sorted during installation, but artwork shall not be stored here before installation.

11. For Clin 3 do you want the stand off at ½” or 1”?

½” is preferred.
