Questions and Answers
1. Question: Are we staking tents?
Answer: Yes
2. Question: How long do you need them for?
Answer: Indefinitely
3. Question: This is for rental correct?
Answer: No, this is a purchase request.
4. Question: Do you need ac or just a duct?
Answer: Ducting needs to be in place to connect VA supplied HVAC units as designed.
5. Question: If ac needed how are you running ac need power?
Answer: A/C power will be generator or facility powered. Neither is part of this acquisition.
6. Question: The wind load in Gainesville is 120 MPH; to prevent possible injuries in wind storms shelter tents meet 120 MPH wind load?
Answer: No, the tents are not required to handle 120 MPH winds.
7. Question: Is there a different wind load requirement?
Answer: No
8. Question: Is the tent required to be engineered for the wind load?
9. Question: To meet the wind load, can guy ropes/cables be utilized to support the tent?
Answer: Not Applicable
10. Question: Should the tent frame, fabric and ducts be Berry Compliant as required by law with the federal procurement of tents (Berry Amendment is significantly different requirement for tents than “Made in USA” which is often non-compliant to federal procurement law)?
Answer: The Berry Amendment does not apply to this acquisition.
11. Question: Should the tent frame, fabric and ducts be Buy American Act Compliant as required by law with the federal procurement of tents (Buy American Act is significantly different requirement for tents than “Made in USA” which is often non-compliant to federal procurement law)?
