BACKGROUND: Anesthesiology is responsible for providing anesthesia services for Surgery, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Catherization and Electrophysiology Labs, Gastroenterology, Genitourinary suites, Lithotripsy and Bronchoscopy. In total, Anesthesiology has 22 locations with monitor systems. The current systems in many of the rooms have a removable Multi-Measurement Server (MMS). Over time, the pins on the MMS become worn, the unit needs repaired, or it is removed for patient transport. There are five different versions of software (Software versions (Philips)-G.01.08, H.15.41, J.10.26, L.01.08, F.01.42. All the software will be the same on the new monitors-everything interchangeable, all data can go to PICIS, all equipment can go in any room) on the 22 monitors; therefore, every MMS is not compatible with every monitor. As a result, many delays are caused while staff looks for a compatible MMS.

Electronic medical records are imported through PICIS Software from the monitors. All locations shall have the same capabilities and the same settings
