john.burch2@va.gov Contract Officer DESCRIPTION: The scope of this project is to provide all construction services, labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, and all other resources necessary to renovate the SCI/D area at the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital in accordance with the requirements of the project. The period of performance is 160 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed.

NCO 8 anticipates the award of a firm fixed‐price contract to provide construction services.

The Magnitude of Construction cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.

The Solicitation, Construction Drawings, and Specifications will be available at http://www.fbo.gov, and is estimated to be released on or about January 15, 2018.

All interested firms must be registered in the System for Award Management www.SAM.GOV and certified at U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization at www.vip.vetbiz.gov.

Green Environmental Management System (GEMS) ‐ Contractors selected for award of this contract are expected to be good stewards of the environment by complying with federal, state and local environmental laws and other requirements such as medical center policy and project specifications. In addition contractors should incorporate pollution prevention and waste minimization into operations.
