The purpose of this Amendment is to provide an updated Statement of Work removing the requirement of Building 1 roofing.

STATEMENT OF WORK

OBJECTIVE:
The objective of this contract is to provide the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS) with a contractual obligation to complete the following work: Complete exterior cleaning and pressure washing to include brightening of the concrete areas in Buildings 1, 4, and 40 at the Montgomery Campus.
This contract shall not require access to a VA system or VA sensitive information (e.g., system administrator privileged access to a VA system, or contractor systems or processes that utilize VA sensitive information).
SITE VISIT: Site visit is approved upon request.
CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILTY:
The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, supplies, equipment, and supervision necessary for execution of this contract. Contractor shall be responsible for the following:
Complete exterior cleaning to include vertical walls, fascia, eaves, overhangs, columns, canopies (top, bottom, and sides), overhead structures on entryways, capstones, and all other structures in all three buildings including shingle roofs. The shingle roofing and roofing with solar panels for Building 1 is excluded from this requirement. This work should include the removal of organic staining, grime, and debris.
Deep clean and brighten all horizontal concrete within building perimeters including walkways, sidewalks, steps, knee walls, and curbing. Work should also include the flag base, benches, and retaining walls within the perimeter of all designated buildings. This work should include the removal of organic staining, grime, and debris.
This work will require a boom lift of a minimum of 125 feet reach. Some areas can be reached through roof access this should reduce the cost of the lift rental.
Contractor is responsible for providing storage for their equipment at their own risk. Water will be provided by the VA.
Contractor should provide all SDS sheets after contract award and before the start of work to the COR for approval of the chemicals to be used. All chemicals should be low odor.
Period of Performance
The period of performance for this work should be 90 calendar days. Some will need to be completed after hours and on weekends. Coordination of each area should be requested two weeks ahead of the projected work. No entrances, sidewalks, or access should be closed without prior approval from the COR.
HOURS OF WORK:
The hours of work shall take place during regular business hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM as much as possible and for those areas that require closure or are high-traffic areas, the work will be completed after-hours or weekends.
All shutdowns should be requested two weeks in advance by the COR.
CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS:
The contractor should have a minimum of 3 years of experience working on commercial and industrial buildings. A list of similar projects should be provided during the bid process. The contractor should own its own cleaning equipment.
