NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE

Project Title: Uptravi 1600mcg Announcement No.: 36C24623P0524 The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price, open market, purchase order for Uptravi medication. Selexipag lowers blood pressure in your lungs by dilating (widening) blood vessels that supply blood to the lungs. Selexipag is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Selexipag helps keep your condition from getting worse and helps lower your risk of needing to be hospitalized for PAH. The total estimated value is $175,014.36.

Market research has determined there are no generic forms of this drug and Actelion Pharmaceuticals a large business are the sole manufacturers of this drug. Actelion Pharmaceuticals utilizes Accredo Health Group a large business as their authorized distributors.

Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objective of the Fayetteville VAMC.

The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.

This is not a request for quote or proposals.
