PRESOLICITATION NOTICE

Project – Sidewalk Replacement at McClellan Ave The Department of Veterans Affairs, 100 Emancipation Drive, Hampton, VA has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, material, supplies, equipment, transportation, permits, license and qualified supervision to replace the Sidewalk at McClellan Ave at the Hampton VA Medical Center, Asheville, NC.

General Scope: The Contractor will provide all transportation, material, hardware, parts, tools, specialized equipment, labor, supervision and technical expertise to replace the sidewalk at McClellan Ave. Work shall include, but not be limited to:

1. Lay out and mark all areas of replacement.

2. Demo and remove areas to be replaced to the nearest joint or saw cut. Dispose of all debris off site.

3. Install forms as necessary to retain and support concrete.

4. Roll existing sub grade materials to achieve maximum density.

5. Install full depth entrained concrete to match existing adjacent slabs and curves.

6. Install expansion joint material structures. Install crack control joints where applicable. Concrete surface should be broom with a fine brush in a traverse direction to ensure traction.

7. Install ADA approved detectable warning strips on all required ramps.

8. Apply curing compound and or provide protection against elements necessary to promote curing of new installation.

9. Remove forms and backfill adjacent disturbed areas using onsite materials.

Estimated construction magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000.

NAICS CODE: 237310 Size Standard: $39.5 Million This solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Solicitation material will be available on/about January 3, 2020. Any specifications, drawings and amendments will be posted on this web site. Proposals will be due approximately 28 days after issuance of the solicitation. Location and points of contact for site visits will be identified in the solicitation.
