Intercom
1. The specification on Page-5 shows (1) door, (2) Submasters, (1) Master and (1) Power Supply. During the site survey, (2) exterior doors were indicated to receive intercoms, please update the specified Aiphone equipment quantities and model numbers accordingly.
A. Only the front door where the existing system is gets an Aiphone
2. The specification on Page-5 indicates that (2) separate monitors with remote door alarms intended to allow staff within the EMS and Pantry viewing capability of visitors requesting access will be required. The Submasters contained in the specification and proposed for those areas contain an integrated video monitor and annunciation tone generator thus eliminating the need for a separate monitor and bell to provide viewing capability of the visitor at the exterior door using the intercom call button to request access. This renders the (2) separate monitors with remote door alarms called for in the current specification redundant. Can the (2) separate monitors with remote door alarms be eliminated from the specification requirement?
A. The intent is one monitor per area (office, EMS, and pantry) with an alarm function to notify staff that someone is at the front door requesting access
