Q.18 How will Hampton VAMC address construction projects that impact valet service performance and /or staffing ?
A.18 No projects or construction are scheduled at this time. Advance notice will be given of any project or construction that might effect Valet Parking
Q.19 If Hampton VAMC requests valet parking services outside of contract valet services hours, days, or normal operational volumes, it would be fair and reasonable for the VA to pay the contractor for these additional services. Will VA pay contractor for delivery of these additional valet services outside of the contractor’s contractual monthly bill rate? If so, how will these payments for additional services be calculated?
A.19 N/A
Q.20 The solicitation requests that valet services employees undergo Special Agency Check (SAC). As valet employees only provide valet parking services for Hampton VAMC patients and visitors, and as such, will not require nor request any Personal Identification Information (PII), this requirement seems like an unnecessary effort and expense, as well as it is not consistent with other VAMC solicitations.
A.20 This is needed since the Hampton VAMC will issue PIV Flash Badges.
Q.21 The solicitation requests that contractor provide health examinations, please define Hampton VAMC’s expectation for this.
A.21 We do not require health examinations
Q.22 Can the contract provide a storage shed in addition to the valet booth for supplies such as uniforms, cones, tickets, office supplies, etc. We can locate this by the valet lot on the “church” grass.
