The Eclipse EP25 is an additional unit, and the Verifit VF-2 is replacement for the current unit at end of lifecycle.

2. Requirements:

The Eclipse ABR protocols, and features are used in conjuncture with the Interacoustics VNG System that evaluate inner ear disorders located in the Audiology Clinic. The Eclipse EP25 will not connect to the network, this unit is needed so that the audiologist can measure auditory evoked potentials and otoacoustic emissions. It is a single high-performance hardware unit.

The OtoAccess Database is a software solution that provides the patient’s test results in use with the Interacoustics equipment.

The Verifit VF-2 is a hearing aid verification system that is used with Speechmap® and ProbeGUIDE software currently being used. The Verifit VF-2 has been purchased by the Pittsburgh VAMC two (2) different times (646-A14508 and 646-A42385). To procure a different brand name would require training, and retest reliability by having two (2) different systems being used.
