About this file
This document is an Amendment to Solicitation for Dialysis Sample Testing issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the James J. Peters VA Medical Center. The amendment extends the solicitation response date to March 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM EDT and provides detailed responses to vendor questions about the testing requirements. The facility has 21 Baxter Phoenix hemodialysis machines and multiple portable reverse osmosis water systems (MARCOR Millenium HX#1&2, AQUA BOSS RO), requiring monthly testing of water and dialysate samples for colony count and endotoxin, as well as semi-annual AAMI chemical water testing.
The solicitation is an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with pricing for monthly tests (CLINs 001-004) and semi-annual AAMI chemical water testing (CLIN 0005). The testing will follow the ANSI/AAMI/ISO 23500 series standards and includes a comprehensive water panel testing for 10 elements (Antimony, Arsenic, Barium, Beryllium, Cadmium, Chromium, Mercury, Selenium, Silver, and Thallium), as recommended by the Renal Chief. Vendors are expected to complete a minimum of 14 tests per month, with potential additional testing for redraws.
