Josephine Tuitt Contract Officer Solicitation 36C24221Q0957 Commissary Equipment Maintenance
1. Is this a new requirement or is there a current or previous contractor and contract number?
ANS: Previous contractor and contract #: VA243-16-C-0111
2. On the price list section, #3 indicates 120 LT - what does the unit LT stand for? Is this for us to provide a price on 120 parts per month for any repairs (for parts that cost under $500)? Is this to calculate an inventory of approximately 10 parts per month that may need replacement during the PM or is it for scheduled repairs? Could you provide a little more clarity so we can price it properly?
ANS: Using the same language from previous contracts; if LT (lot) is too confusing, please use “piece” in place of LT.
3. Are the 520 hours per contract year for repairs based on one man hour only or is it dependent on what the repair requires - for example if two techs are needed for one specific repair service, would the invoice charge as 2 hours for 2 techs per hour of labor?
ANS: Estimated 520 labor hours per contract year for repairs based on what the repair requires, not on one-man labor hour only. If two techs are needed for particular repair service, labor charges on the invoice as 2 hours for 2 techs, for total of 4 hours.
4. The training required for Infectious Disease Prevention and related health safety training, is this provided by the VA or will the VA have a recommendation on where our employees could get training?
ANS: The training will be provided by the VA, most likely by Chief VISN2 Commissary, because we have to follow the facility infection control guidelines and Commissary health and safety guidelines.
5. Is the Contractor's Project Manager expected to be on-site for the entire PM time and any repairs (as in a fulltime position on site) or can it be remote and on site as needed?
ANS: Contractor’s Project Manager is not expected or required to be on-site for entire PM time and any repairs. Project Manager will be on site as needed or requested by VA.
