NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA New York Harbor Healthcare System, Manhattan Campus, intends to award a sole source firm-fixed-price contract to Millennium Dental Technologies, Inc. in accordance with FAR subpart 13.106-1.

The acquisition sought is for a dental laser (PerioLase MVP-7) which will be utilized throughout our dental clinic for periodontal (gum/bone) and peri implant procedures which are high aerosol producing procedures. Lasers are non-aerosol producing devices and this purchase will lend to air quality improvement in the clinic by decreasing airborne particles. The ADA and CDC are urging providers to seek devices that decrease airborne viral particles in dental settings.

The LANAP protocol performed using the PerioLase MVP-7 laser is the only method which is FDA cleared using scientific evidence for True Periodontal Regeneration (LANAP: Laser Assisted New Attachment Protocol).

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available.

Any responses received no later than 15:00 EST on September 11, 2020 will be considered for the purposes of determining sources for future procurements. The Government will not pay for information submitted. Any information submitted in response to this notice of intent is strictly voluntary.

This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
