Background:
The VA, Veterans Health Administration (VHA), has a requirement for a contractor to provide VR Hardware and Software, that utilizes high-resolution, clinician-developed programming, via a stand-alone VR headset/controllers and caregiver tablet, as an adjunct alternative therapy to aid in pain management, to decrease stress/anxiety, help alleviate boredom, provide an avenue for patient education, and improve quality of Veteran experience.
Purpose and Objective:
The contractor shall provide VR Hardware and Software.
Anticipated Period of Performance:
February 15, 2020 - February 14, 2021
Single Source Circumstances:
The Department of Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Innovators Network (iNET) currently utilizes the Wellovate VR Hardware and Software. In the interest of veterans’ continuity of care across multiple VA Medical Centers, VHA is considering a sole-source procurement. Wellovate’s data and software is proprietary in nature and for continuity of data and service in the department. Therefore, it is in the best interest of the government to award this contract to Wellovate.
