Question/Answer Submittal for 246-22-Q-0032

1. Can PIHS provide the name of the current contractor? New requirement.

1. Can PIHS provide the current contract pricing? New requirement.

1. Please confirm if the price schedule bifocal is just for FT-28 lenses. Up to contractor. FT28 is one of many options. Can be limited to that, or include other options at other prices.

1. Please confirm if the price schedule trifocal is just for 7x28 lenses. Same as #3.

1. What is the definition of Hi-Index on the price schedule (index of refraction 1.56, 1.60, 1.67, or 1.74)? Currently, High Index is 1.67.

1. The price schedule does not include a line item for high powers. Can PIHS provide an estimate of how many glasses per year will require powers over + or – 10.00 diopters, or add this item to the price schedule? An estimate of high powers for the year is 20.

1. The price schedule does not include a line item tints. Can PIHS provide an estimate of how many glasses per year will require tint or add this item to the price schedule? Estimate is 1000 glasses. It would be the option of the contractor to assess this in their bid package.

1. Will PIHS consider removing the requirement for prescription changes at no charge for 90 days, as the contractor has no control over how often this might occur? If not, can PIHS provide an estimate of how many prescription changes within 90 days are likely to occur each year? No consideration of this request at this time. An estimate for the year is less than 100 glasses.

1. Do different frame colors and sizes count toward the total frame count requirements (of up to 500)? Not exactly. This would be up to the contractor to provide frames styles/choices/colors/sizes/etc. that they feel are appropriate and fit within their bid package.

1. The RFQ is asking for quite a variety of different frame types (dress, safety, sport, extra-large size, etc.), each with its own cost structure. Are offerors to include all frame costs in the lens quotes? Or will PIHS consider adding the higher cost frame categories to the price schedule as an add on to the lenses? Framing should be all-inclusive with pricing.

1. Once an invoice is submitted for payment, when can the contractor expect payment? Is it 30 days? Net 30.
