About this file
This document is Addendum No. 1 to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for Nursing Services issued by the School Board of Seminole County Public Schools in Florida. The solicitation seeks Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) services district-wide on an as-needed basis, with the bid opening scheduled for October 16, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. The district is seeking clinicians to provide primarily 1:1 student care, with potential clinic work when assigned students are absent. Services will be completely on-site, with clinicians stationed at one school per assignment, working up to eight hours per day following specific school schedules. The anticipated School Board approval date is November 19, 2024, with assignments to be determined based on district needs.
The addendum provides critical details about the contract opportunity, including that this is the first bid for these services after previously piggybacking a contract from Lake County Public Schools with Orange Tree Staffing. The district contracted for approximately five LPNs at the start of the current school year and will require clinicians to have in-person CPR certifications and complete the district's background check/fingerprinting process. No specific budget or exact number of vendors to be awarded has been determined. Clinicians will be paid during orientation, and the district will supply necessary equipment like laptops, PPE, and nursing supplies. References are not required to be from schools, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder(s).
