Ludlum measurements, Inc

Sweetwater, Texas

23609 has a requirement for a radiation detector intended for use to scan end of life material from all departments on NSWC Crane. Requred at this time are Ludlum Model 4525-7000 Gate monitor -Base System, assembly kit,detector stand,brackets,fittings,and installation service. The period of performance is no later than June 30, 2023.

This requirement is for a Ludlum radiation detector which will replace an existing radiation detector of the same OEM. The existing asset has reached end of life and is beyond economical repair. The current procurement will be a direct replacement and must meet form, fit, and function specifications of infrastructure which is in place to support this asset.

The radiation detector is a large multi-sided portal which allows for laden vehicles to pass through and scans loads for radiation. The detector is mounted on concrete bases which were poured to exact requirements to house this asset, allow for its cabling, and facilitate its movement. If NSWC Crane were to procure a radiation detector from another manufacturer, this mission’ s efforts and the impacts to the are estimated to be approximately $ .
