PSNS 1-1/4” Low Pressure Air Manifold (LPA) Specification or Salient Characteristics. Current as of 4/22/2022

Material Requirement:
All pipe will be 316L Stainless Steel, SCH 80 seamless pipe
All pipe will meet or exceed ASTM A312
Manifold assembly is required to be sandblasted prior to paint using Sandblasting SSPC- SP10 Guidelines.
Minimal Blasting to threads is allowed per SSPC-SP10.
Tolerances:
Dimensions are in inches unless noted otherwise.
All dimensions are: +/- .125”
All angles are: +/- 1 Degree
Welding Requirements:
All welds need to meet or exceeds ANSI B31.1, MIL-STD-22.
Minimum weld thickness is 3/16”
Paint Requirements:
Powder Coat Dupont TGIC Safety Yellow PFY 500 S8/Sherwin Williams Safety Yellow PYS8-C0007 or equivalent.
Testing Requirements:
Hydro test as follows: Plug all connections and openings as required, remove pressure gages and regulators and connect a hydrostatic test pump to the manifold and pressurize it with fresh water to 225 (+20,-0) psig for at least 10 minutes. Multiple manifolds may be connected together and tested at once. No leaks or visible permanent deformations are allowed.
Other Requirements:
All connections are to be assembled with “Teflon” tape except where noted.
All deviations/revisions must be approved by PSNS.
All substitutions for fittings must be approved by PSNS.
All material substitutions must be approved by PSNS.
