1.0 Scope
1.1 Introduction. This statement of work (SOW) describes the requirements of code GXMS in regard to the preventative maintenance services and evaluation for the Thermo Fisher/FEI Helios G4 UX located at NSWC Crane.
2.0 Applicable Documents

3.0 Requirements
General. The Contractor shall maintain and repair as necessary The Helios G4 UX serial number 9925364 within the contract coverage. This work shall be performed at the Government site (Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, IN) except in cases where factory repair of an item is required. The Contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, and their travel expenses, per diem, and labor charges which are required to perform the tasks in this Statement of Work. All parts (excluding consumables or excluded items) shall be provided by Contractor.
3.1 Equipment Description.
The Helios G4 UX is a Dual Beam Focused Ion Beam System. The system consists of a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Focused Ion Beam (FIB), Gas Injection System (GIS), and Nano Manipulator. Contract coverage shall include the complete systems.
3.2 Task A. The Contractor shall perform at least one annual Preventive Maintenance (PM) visit. This task shall include an evaluation of the Helios G4 UX and any adjustments needed to return the equipment to its original operating specifications. Scheduling shall be determined after consultation between the company and Code GXMS personnel.
3.3 Task B. When instrument breakdown occurs, the Contractor shall provide assistance via telephone within twenty-four (24) hours. Telephone assistance shall be available from Monday thru Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
Contractor shall incur all shipping charges if parts need to be shipped. Upon notification that the equipment is not functioning properly, the Contractor shall dispatch qualified service personnel within forty-eight (48) hours (excluding weekends and holidays) after a service call has been opened to repair the instrument. Often times this is sooner, however, there are times when it could be later due to unforeseen issues. The service representative shall restore operation of the system to original company specifications.
