Notice of Intent (Sole Source)
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announces its intention to negotiate and issue a sole source award for the renewal of existing software licensing for CLCbio Genomics Workbench from Qiagen Incorporated in Valencia, California. CLCbio is a commercial software application that is used for the analysis, comparison and visualization of large volumes of genomic sequncing data. Genomics Workbench, Genomics Server, and add on modules are all widely used at CDC. This comprehensive cross-platform analysis solution is at the forefront of software development for genomics analysis and is already integrated into a number of different workflows in CDC program laboratories. CDC intends to negotiate this requirement under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (1) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The sole source procurement will be awarded as a simplified acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12 & FAR Subpart 13 procedures. Interested persons may identify their interest and submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any quotation/response must be in writing and can be sent via email to the Contract Specialist at BLewis3@cdc.gov by 4pm Eastern Standard Time July 16, 2016. No phone calls will be accepted.
