Notice of Intent (Sole Source)
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announces its intention to negotiate and issue a sole source award for the purchase of a QuantStudio Dx 96w Real-Time PCR Instrument from Technical Communities, Inc. in Grand Island, NY. The anticipated delivery date is 4/30/16. The QuantStudio Dx 96w enables the creation of new assays in 96-or 384-well plates, and qPCR Microfluidic Card formats provide easily interchangeable thermal cycling blocks to accommodate the lab’s throughput assay development. The QuantStudio Dx 96w is the only instrument that can be used in the lab’s Zika virus testing diagnostic response that is compatible with FDA-approved assays. CDC intends to negotiate this requirement under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (1) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The sole source procurement will be awarded as a simplified acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12 & FAR Subpart 13 procedures. Interested persons may identify their interest and submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within five (5) business days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.
