Questions and Government Responses – 2015 East Coast Trade Symposium:

Question: Is there any possibility that the Government would split the hotel room block and/or the convention site into different locations?

Response: No. The venue must be a full service provider that meets all requirements as described in the Statement of Work (SOW).

Questions: How did The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Trade Relations (OTR) come up with the meeting dates of November 4 and November 5, 2015?

Response: These dates were designated in order to meet internal scheduling requirements.

Question: Are these meeting dates flexible?

Response: No.

Question: If The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Trade Relations (OTR) is unable to find hotel availability over these dates will you resource the meeting to alternate dates?

Response: Unfortunately, we cannot Response this question at this time. CBP is focusing on preparing for an event on November 4 and 5, 2015.

Question: Can you provide us history on the city/state/hotel that the 2012, 2013 and 2014 East Coast

Trade Symposium has been held in the past?

Response:

2012: National Harbor, Maryland – Gaylord National Convention Center

2013: Cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy

2014: Washington, DC – Washington Hilton

Question: Is The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Trade Relations (OTR) authorized to utilize a government contractor OR meeting planner to plan meeting on its behalf?

Response: CBP manages and plans all conferences internally.
