About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the fabrication of new bronze propellers used on 65-foot Class River Buoy Tenders (WYTLs) for the U.S. Coast Guard. The SOW provides detailed requirements for the contractor to manufacture, test, inspect, preserve, package, and mark the propellers in accordance with referenced drawings, standards, and specifications. Key requirements include: using nickel aluminum bronze material, meeting dimensional tolerances, performing static balancing, and applying specific preservation and packaging methods. The contractor is required to submit a test and inspection plan, material analysis data, and a final inspection report. The SOW also outlines the quality assurance requirements, including dimensional, surface, and balancing inspections that will be witnessed by a Coast Guard representative.

The related federal contract opportunity is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the procurement of these propellers. The U.S. Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order. The solicitation specifies a quantity of 5 propellers, with the part number 4B56DX46P-RH, and indicates that only the original equipment manufacturer, Wildcat Propellers Inc., or their authorized distributors are eligible to submit quotes. Quotes must include a letter from the OEM verifying the vendor's authorized distributor status. The solicitation provides detailed packaging, marking, and delivery requirements, and states that no substitutions will be authorized without Coast Guard approval.
