The following Questions and Answers are incorporated into Solicitation 20087013 as of 8-27-2015.

Q1) Will a unit with 1200 watts of solar panels and 300 watts of wind power be acceptable under this statement of work?

A1) The requirement for 1500 Watt or greater solar panels, per the statement of work, is firm.

Q2) How does the solicitation address the subject of Patents?

A2) Patents are addressed by the Clause at II.6, FAR 52.212-4 (h) CONTRACT

TERMS AND CONDITIONS--COMMERCIAL ITEMS (MAY 2015) [Patent Indemnity]. Patents are further addressed at FAR Subpart 27.2.

The key part of the Clause states: “The Contractor shall indemnify the

Government and its officers, employees and agents against liability, including costs, for actual or alleged direct or contributory infringement of, or inducement to infringe, any United States or foreign patent, trademark or copyright, arising out of the performance of this contract, provided the Contractor is reasonably notified of such claims and proceedings.”

The closing date and time of the RFQ remains 9-2-2015, 1:00 PM MST. All other terms and conditions remain the same.
