About this file
This document provides reporting requirements for shipments of hazardous and inert materials. It outlines 15 data elements that must be included in Report of Shipment (REPSHIP) notifications for movements of such cargo within the continental United States, from the continental United States to overseas locations, and from all overseas locations. Required information includes shipment dates, estimated and required delivery dates, carrier details, bill of lading or release numbers, cargo descriptions, container information, security classifications, hazard classifications, and contact information for the shipping activity. Notes provide guidance for reporting multiple shipment units or cargo movements in a single conveyance, and indicate that lot numbers, Department of Defense Identification Codes, and Navy Ammunition Logistic Codes are not mandatory but may be included if available.
The related federal contract opportunity involves a solicitation by the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center for initiators required by the Space and Missile Defense Command. The solicitation seeks 45 initiators under one national stock number delivered within 12 months, 12 initiators under an alternate stock number delivered within 12 months, and 176 initiators under another stock number delivered within 12 months. The descriptions provided are for initiators for the Space and Missile Defense Command to be gas tested. Ship-to locations and procurement request numbers are included.
