Questions and Answers
1. Fuel Type Preference: Is there a preference for diesel or petrol (gasoline) engines for the sedans required under this contract? If so, could you specify which type is preferred for the 1.4L and 1.6L engine categories?
The requirement is for vehicles with gasoline engines.
2. Vehicle Models and Specifications: Are there any specific makes and models of sedans that are preferred or required for this contract? Additionally, are hybrid or electric vehicles considered acceptable alternatives?
Hybrids are an option but NO electrical vehicles. Also, no preference on makes or models.
3. Mileage and Excess Usage: In the event that the monthly mileage exceeds the specified 3,000 km, how should this be managed and billed? Is there a specified rate for additional kilometers?
We do not anticipate to exceed the specified 3,000 km limit. Nevertheless, if we do exceed this limit, we can pay for the excess kilometers. Please provide rate per extra kilometer.
4. Maintenance and Service Requirements: Are there any specific maintenance schedules or service standards that must be adhered to during the contract period? Who is responsible for routine maintenance and servicing of the vehicles?
The contractor will be responsible for the maintenance of the vehicles. Service schedules and standards are set by the vehicle manufacturer.
5. Submission Requirements: Our Company is Registered in India and we have a Sub Contracting Partner in Greece, Should we include IRS W-14 Form?
The contract will be awarded directly to a SAM registered company with an established business and permanent address in Greece. This office will accept quotations from such companies. No need for W-14 form submission.
6.Evaluation Criteria: Can you provide more details on the evaluation criteria for the proposals?
Specifically, how will price, vehicle condition, supplier experience, and compliance with solicitation requirements be weighted in the evaluation process?
Specific information on evaluation criteria, can be found on page 27, Section 4 – Evaluation factors of the solicitation document. Proposed vehicles will be evaluated on condition, class and pricing combined. This office will not accept incomplete quotations. Instructions to offerors can be found on page 24 of the solicitation document.
7. What is the preferred transmission type of the vehicles in concern? Automatic or manual?.
There is no preference. It can be either.
8. The requirement is for sedan type vehicles. Can hatchbacks / SUV’s be offered instead?
There is no preference, as long as they are 1.4L and 1.6L vehicles.
9. Please clarify if the Quantity label on price tables, refer to the quantity of vehicles needed.
No. We need two (2) vehicles (one 1.4L and one 1.6L). Quantity (12) refers to the number of months for every year.
