The US International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC) operates and maintains the Nogales International Wastewater Treatment Plant (NIWTP) in Rio Rico, Arizona. The NIWTP currently treats approximately 17 million gallons per day of raw sewage entering from Nogales, Mexico and Nogales, Arizona.

The NIWTP consists of a Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR), filtering and disinfection process. A critical component in this process is the air supply provided to the aeration basins by five centrifugal blowers (Spencer Series 6000) driven by 400 HP Baldor AC Induction Motors.

Personnel performing service work shall be qualified to work on Baldor motors.

Blowers data: BALDOR 400 HP, 460 v, 3,565 RPM, 60 Hz, 3 Phase.

The Contractor shall be responsible for implementing its own hearing protection plan and Lockout/Tagout plan. The contractor shall perform all work according to all applicable OSHA regulations and safety procedures and provide all the required Personnel Protective Equipment and monitoring instruments for its employees.

USIBWC personnel will assist in identifying pertinent valves, gates, and electric panels which need to be locked and tagged to isolate work areas as necessary and coordinate with SCADA. The Contractor shall provide and install the required locks, tags, and maintain the required records.

D) INVOICING AND PAYMENT:

Given that at times not all five blowers are in operation, separate line items are designated for measurement and payment as follows:

· Service call: Includes staff time and transportation expenses to and from the NIWTP to perform quarterly and semi-annual services. Should a quarterly and semi-annual service be concurrent, only one service call will be counted.

· Motor quarterly PM: includes staff time, tools and supplies to perform quarterly service for each motor

· Motor semi-annual service: includes staff time, tools and supplies to perform quarterly service for each motor

E) SITE ACCESS:

The NIWTP is a restricted access facility and access to the site must be in accordance with USIBWC procedures. Currently all visitors and contractors are escorted by USIBWC personnel.
